Mountain Home Renovation
This renovation project seamlessly blends ski lodge aesthetics with contemporary elements, incorporating animal influences, greenery, and warm textures. The focus is on comfort, style, and functionality across the upper floor, basement, and outdoor spaces. Notable features include a kitchen with marble accents, a hybrid copper/bronze hood fan, and plaid/leather combo bar stools. A practical addition is the new mudroom, enhancing ski storage and facilitating family movement during ski days. The project aims to translate the homeowners' preferences into a distinctive living space that effortlessly combines modern elegance with mountain retreat charm.
As a junior designer, I engaged actively in client meetings, contributed to conceptual development, and assisted in material sourcing. Using Autocad, I crafted detailed plans for the project. I initiated proposals for construction changes, drafted comprehensive drawings, and played a crucial role in producing project documentation, encompassing specifications and budgets. Throughout the process, I participated in numerous site visits and generated multiple versions of furniture plans for the home.
