Small Gods Brewery
As the primary interior designer for Small Gods Brewery in Sidney, BC, I converted an existing commercial space into a restaurant and tap room, accommodating over 60 people. The project aimed to integrate a brewery and subway shop concept seamlessly. Close collaboration with the owner and architect ensured compliance with design regulations and our shared vision. Emphasizing functionality, we developed an ADA-compliant floor plan, optimized seating, and incorporated four bathroom stalls.
The design merges retro New York subway vibes with practical elements such as laminate counters, subway tile benches, mahogany furniture, green trim, chrome accents, and reeded glass. The objective was to create an inviting, rustic space that is both casual and clean, resulting in a streamlined brewery with a fusion of rustic charm and contemporary aesthetics.
This project provided valuable insights into project management, budgeting, and navigating commercial spaces. I took on sole responsibility for material, furniture, and fixture selection, as well as the completion of drawing sets for construction purposes.
